Re: InfinityHub chat thread
I'm not dead. I'm just waiting for other people to post things I can reply to. Except yesterday. I had a bad test so I just sat and watched hot fuzz and The end of the world

Hum, well, things will get better I hope Unicorn =o, more preparation for the next time I suppose =P, and here you have a message to show that you are alive! (Post data: I had to remove two repeated posts of yours, I suppose that you had a problem in which they didn't show up).

Yeah hey viccy! Prove you're not dead on AOSTs as well. And yeah, my internet was screwed. It wasn't loading my posts anywhere. On here or on AOSTs for a while. Sorry to bother you with the 'spam' ^^

I will prove it when I'm not on the verge of death, it's waiting, awaiting for me to make a slip, for me to fall to the void so she can swiftly clutch her dark teeth over me, and thus to be lost in oblivion...
And it's no problem Unicorn XD (the spam thing), have fun in AOSTs, make me proud by reviving that great community, I hope to not be like a traitor, for entering and being idle like that, but yeah, I don't know how to dedicate time to it without being run over by my duties.

Re: InfinityHub chat thread
Ok, I admit that I was nearly killed, even yesterday. But I'm still alive, crawling my way out of this deep dark hole, gasping for fresh air and craving for that small ray of light shining from outside.
I'll just write down what's on my plate currently cause it's going to be messy reading it up in passages:
1. I'm going to reapply for my visa, seeing that there's no reply whatsoever from the embassy and I am told that they will not entertain appeals. But I'll still expect some sort of reply, and if the appeal somehow miraculously got accepted and they ask for additional documents, then I'll take up that offer.
2. My research assistant job is still ongoing, and it seems like I'll have much to settle from here on out. There's articles to be looked for (I've found like 60 that are unfiltered yet, and there's still much that I need), and then I'll have to compute data and statistics for em, as well as help out on tidying up the proposal and diagrams.
3. I was half-forced into making a grand event that should occur on August 1st, and am the head of the team as well. I'm the main idea contributor, main executive, main designer, and main decorator. There's also much to do on this and I've just got the work arranged out about yesterday. Still tired from the process but it's just starting off. There's still much for me to be tired of.
4. There's gonna be 2 programming competitions for the coming two weekends, one a minor one, and another a major event. I'm also the designer for my team (same team mates). We're still figuring out what to program.
All and all, it's all pretty big things that I'm doing, alongside with the tiny ones like I still have to wash all my clothes with my bare hands, I have to keep being socially active and supportive for my juniors (they're having an event, and my ex-student's in the committee and I did agree to support), and then there's little time for me for myself at the end of each day. Oh, and I still don't have Internet at home.
Glad to see that you guys are still here though. I'm sorry that I have to be off and inactive for a little while longer, though I will still come around when I have time like now.

Re: InfinityHub chat thread
Cmon man, you can do this! (ok that seems quite lot of stuff, my problems now seem little compared to your stuff), but well, everyone to their own, I'm kinda lost too, I appear here when I can, I hope to survive too XD. have little stuff to tell for now, if I come up with time and more stuff I will edit.
My life is kinda well, My habits have changed a lot I think, I concentrate more on my duties, I have it kinda structured during the day, but still it's messy, I need more order so I can have more time for myself. You should know japo I fell on the thing of helping others, but it's my group on research, now that I'm kinda experienced, I dedicate lots of time explaining and correcting them, the problem is that it consumes my time and I stay with little time to do my own stuff. Now I told them, if they want me to fix stuff (tidying up the inform, monographs, etc...) and counsel them, then it's the only paper that I will do in the group (that carries having to read every material and references I have no problem with that) and I can redact the final Ideas of the thing, like conclusions, introduction, summary, etc...
that has little to do with life per se, but what else can I tell XD.

I wish you a good weekend and good luck on the stuff you do, I would like to know when is or was your birthday, I forgot (your birthday doesn't appear on facebook).
(I think my english is getting worse as I don't practice it as often as before, less time reading or writing, I get worried, and not that my english was the best).

Re: InfinityHub chat thread
Both. Our President just blew 250 Million Rand on his private home. And he had rape charges on him a couple years ago. And he was charged for tax evasion. And another guy was charged for arms smuggling. And yeah, they can't make political decisions for shit.

Re: InfinityHub chat thread
Interesting, good that we are getting to know each other XP, what can I say, I hate politics, but well, they just come out from what humans are and some just do what they desire to do (well who doesn't acts for their own interests most of the time), not that all are like that.
And I'm just craving something to eat, keep the talking guys.
P.D. Just when I was sending this brandon replied XD: Well in my opinion, corruption can be an answer to it, they respond to the interest of the ones they represent and other people, they or in reality, few people goes by established ethics (in my own opinion when we are talking about politics, the mood of the time and of the people -the influence of people with power counts more- determines the kind of people that will run our country).

Re: InfinityHub chat thread
I think thats messed up. I am glad in this country we can both speak freely about our government without being put on the kill list and that certain things can ensure someone like that cant run, if you have been convicted of a serious felony or not your taxes, you cant run for government leadership positions. Nor would anyone vote for them anyway.
Though I will say politics in general SUCK! Though there are "good" politicians out there who are concerned about the peoples interest. Most of those arr very rare and far in between.

Re: InfinityHub chat thread
Well, a lot of it has to do with ZA's past. Apartheid meant the ANC took over with the threat of a civil war on the National Party. Mandela knew what he was doing until Mbeki came in. With every generation, they become more corrupt and useless. The leaders come out of impoverished settings and don't know how to handle large volumes of money. All they know is the more you have the better. Except they forget that the more a county has, the better. It all flows into their pockets. Even foreign aid where billions of dollars are donated, all goes into governmental issues. The only party that really knows what it's doing at the moment is the DA except that it's seen as a white party so non of the black people will vote for it cause they think they'll be suppressed again. It's a mess.
But yeah, politics suck. A lot. :p

Miss you guys so much but I have so little time. I just went through a sleepless 24 hours of coding (ok, I did sleep for around 30 mins).
And then there's still no Internet for me at home.

Re: InfinityHub chat thread
well japo, there is nothing else left than to survive, so how that went? the competence (answer even if you come half a year later japo..., and if that happens, write a full post of the things that have happened since your last coming), so how is life, you are alive, I don't know if you are well, how is the bachelor life with a house for you alone, the studies and the visa?
